Herewith some new pictures of Maya’s kittens. Tomorrow they will be 1 week old. They do grow each day. And I am so happy about that. But I can’t keep them apart so I will use nail polish for a while. They look so much alike!!

Between 6 and 10 am Maya delivered 6 kittens! I hope that all of them will survive. Since this delivery didn't go perfect. To begin with I was a sleep and didn't hear her. She delivered the first three kittens in the litter box! She and her kittens were full with clay litter and I needed to wash them. The first three had their umbilical cord still attached to their afterbirth. So I had to cut this. I was very stressed this morning as you can understand. But Hennie and Gerrit came to help me. We helped Maya with the three coming kittens. I hope that they will survive this and that they don't have a navel rupture since the first three kittens couldn't walk very far with their after birth attached. But so far so good as I can see. But I don't know who came first. I only know who came last since helping Maya had my first priority. But here is an overview:
Kitten 1 short tail female 96 gram Kitten 2 long tail female 108 gram Kitten 3 long tail female 102 gram Kitten 4 long tail male 98 gram Kitten 5 long tail female 103 gram Kitten 6 long tail male 104 gram
I hope I got their gender right. You will see some colour on their paws. This is nail polish. This is for now the only way to keep them apart. Since they look so much a like. Furthermore I think that they all are shorthaired. Herewith some pictures. The first picture was taken two days ago. As you can see Maya is still in love with Macho. The second picture is from all 6 kittens and of course one picture of each kitten individual. Yes I am very happy! I never had such a big litter before.

Maya is getting bigger and bigger as you can see on these pictures. And she still has to go for two more weeks! And she has to lay down a lot these days (poor girl). I am looking forward to this big litter and hope things go well.

Today I made an echo and Maya is carrying 6 kittens! I couldn’t believe it. I haven’t had such a big litter before. Of course I keep my fingers crossed that they all will be born a live and healthy. On this picture you can see one of her kittens very clearly. Yes somewhere around the 23rd of October 2007 she will give birth. I am looking forward to this day. It must be so much fun to see so many kittens playing around.
